Role of Collaboration Aspect in the Sphere of Management

Craig Smith, the author of the article ‘Institutional Determinants of Collaboration: An Empirical; Study of County Open-Space Protection’ investigated the role of collaboration aspect in the sphere of management and public administration. The author concentrated on the analysis of principle managerial skills and behavioral attributes as central means of business trust building. It is necessary to underline the fact that the basic argument of the article is reflected through empirical place in the formation of county collaboration and its breadth increase.

The article investigates the disclosure of the most important questions contributing to the analysis of collaboration through empirical study; the author strived to focus on the following issues: In what way institutional impact is reflected in collaboration? What is the role and nature of open space policy? How the collaborative relationships are formed and what is their role in management and government functioning? The author managed to investigate the place of three basic institutional variables, such as government form, debt accumulation rules, and open-space office designation, and the way they affect government collaboration.

It is necessary to underline the fact that the author performed the study on the basis of descriptive and scientific methods demonstrating the peculiarities of necessary government policies through literature sources research. The article provides the study based on county open-space surveys comparative analysis allowing investigating more than 547 counties covering such states as Maine, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Vermont and Massachusetts. Analytical research was one of the study aspects through which the author performed survey analysis of populations referring to particular representing counties. It should be noted that in order to learn the nature and role of open-space collaboration in more detail, the author concentrated on the hypothesizing of every county level institution. Besides, the study reflects the elements of quality measuring disclosed by the author in the form of evaluation of various policies levels. Population measurements as well as county size play an integral role in the development of collaboration breadth.

Research findings were demonstrated by means of socioeconomic factors preserved as the basic influencing factors in the collaborative process formation. The researcher managed to highlight the following elements on the basis of ZINB estimation model, growth, poverty, environmental membership, and graduate degree. As a result of the study the author underlined the fact that in accordance with the statistics and comparative analysis, institutions are an integral part of increased collaboration system; besides, they help to form collaborative networks covering the local government commitment through discernible policy path. The result of the article appeared to be promising enough for creating potential in partners’ cooperation.

The methods and strategies used in the study helped to illustrate the window to simple transaction in the relations of collaborative partners on the basis of open-space policy introduction. The article concentrated on collaborative arrangements, such as networks; the author strived to show that structural institutions provided for the publicity are helpful in cognitive deficiencies mitigation. The analysis outlined the empirical study of institutions as the principle mechanisms and signals aimed at channeling diverse and representation interests within representative form of democracy. The research appeared to be used in further examination of institutions role impacting governing body composition and elections rules on the basis of collaboration extent. The power of complex arrangements and institutions was shown by means of empirical and theoretical traction underlining the collaboration structure and nature in partners’ relationships.
